RNB Restaurant

Status: Concept & Product Development Stage

Location: Kelowna, British Columbia

For this restaurant project, Fulkrum is delivering a complete FF&E package, translating the design vision into a fully realized and functional space. From the reception and bar areas to bespoke flooring, tables, wine displays, and a refrigerated wine cellar, every element is crafted with precision and seamlessly integrated to enhance the guest experience. Our team worked closely with the designers to ensure that creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are evident in every corner of the space.

The design concept is rooted in the spatial character of Roman vicoli, translating their intimate urban scale into an interior environment that maintains direct continuity with the adjacent outdoor patio. The primary design objective was to achieve material, visual, and structural cohesion throughout the space, ensuring consistency across all architectural and custom-built elements.

Dining table
Bespoke piece for the project, crafted in walnut, travertine, and Brass Délabré.
Engineered floor
Interconnected walnut and travertine planks.
Architectural Arch
Metallic Brass Délabré.

The bronze délabré finish, applied to various architectural and custom components, is executed under identical coating procedures and controlled environmental conditions. Maintaining consistent treatment parameters ensures uniform surface texture, visual consistency, and long-term performance across all elements.

Travertine was selected as the dominant material and specified across multiple applications, including flooring, the bar counter, the reception desk, and bespoke dining tables. All slabs are to be extracted from a single block to guarantee chromatic consistency, uniform veining, and controlled textural variation. This approach minimizes tonal discrepancies and reinforces the integrity of the material palette.

Wine cellar
Temperature controlled cellar with clear glass doors and metal brass elements
Bar
Mirror, travertine and glass.

Given the central importance of wine within the restaurant’s operational and experiential concept, particular technical attention was dedicated to the wine cellar and display system. Developed in coordination with specialized partners, the cellar integrates precise temperature and humidity control to ensure optimal storage conditions while maintaining a cohesive architectural presence within the space.

The bespoke dining tables further consolidate the project’s material language, combining walnut, travertine, and brass Délabré. Their curved supports, formed in stone on one side and metal-coated wood on the other, require advanced fabrication techniques and precise load distribution studies. The final result reflects a balance between design and precise craftsmanship, achieved through a process of prototyping.

We bring your vision to life, whether it’s an entire project or just a single detail.
